๐ŸŒŸ Life as an Immigrant: Finding Family in Friends ๐ŸŒŸ

Being an immigrant is never easy, but one of the best parts is how close friends become your extended family. Yesterday on Christmas Day, thatโ€™s exactly how it feltโ€”our friends came over with their kids, and we had such a wonderful time. ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ

I didnโ€™t get around to watching Secret Level or diving into any learning as Iโ€™d hoped. Instead, my day was consumed with prepping for the celebration and, of course, unwrapping Santaโ€™s gifts with my kids. Watching their excitement and joy made it all worth it. โค๏ธ

Today, everything reopens. Weโ€™ll head out for a coffee and some fresh air before getting back to the grind: programming, tying up year-end taxes for my mini-corp, and tackling those end-of-year chores. Not the most thrilling tasks, but this quiet vacation stretch is perfect for clearing them off my plate.

On a less glamorous note, I ate like a pig and drank like a horse yesterday, and my sleep took a hit. I woke up later than usual at 6:30 AM instead of 4:00 AM, and Iโ€™m feeling like shit. But hey, itโ€™s a new day, and tonightโ€™s sleep is going to be much better (fucking hopes).

๐Ÿ•˜ 9:32 AM. Time to get moving and make it count!
