You know what? My mood’s a bit brighter today. After four damn experiments with the same video on YouTube, it finally worked. 🎉 It took me four weeks to get this one piece of content right. Four. Weeks. And let me tell you, it was worth every tweak, every redo, every moment of “what the hell am I even doing?” 🤷♂️
Here’s the takeaway: most things in life worth doing demand hard work. Experimentation. Failing. Learning. Analyzing. And then doing it all over again. 🔄
The Myth of Instant Success 💭💸
Most people think YouTube—or success in general—is some magical process. Post a few videos, sit back, sip a piña colada 🍹, and let the algorithm do its thing, right? Wrong. That’s fantasy. Reality? You suffer for two straight years making content, experimenting, and questioning your life choices. You either quit—or you evolve. You make better content, you get smarter about your craft, and you eventually earn that small sliver of success. 🏆
It’s no different in programming, relationships, or life in general. Every field is competitive. Some more than others.
Starting a New Journey? Buckle the F*ck Up 🎢
If you’re diving into something brand new—like learning programming because you’re drawn to the lifestyle (working in peace, no office BS, decent pay)—here’s the truth: it’s going to be a long, tough ride. 🚧 You’ll have moments where you’ll want to quit. You’ll compare yourself to others. But it’s a journey. And the ones who make it? They’re not the smartest or the fastest—they’re the ones who stick it out. 🛠️
It might take months. It might take years. But that’s life.
Balance: The 80/20 Rule ⚖️
Here’s where most people screw up. They go 100% on their goal and forget the rest of their life exists. Don’t do that. Life is too damn long to be miserable the whole way. Yes, work hard—put 80% into your main goal—but save 20% for yourself. 🏖️
Go jogging with a friend 🏃♂️, spend time with your family 👨👩👧👦, hit the gym 🏋️, or just do something where you can win in small ways. Because when your main goal gets f*cked for a while (and trust me, it will), those little wins will keep you sane. 🧠
My Formula 🧪
That’s my formula. 80% grind, 20% balance. It keeps me going. And in those 20%, I find little victories to celebrate—my kids 👶, a laugh with friends 😂, a nice meal 🥗—things that keep me positive.
